Brickell City Centre by Americaribe

Project ID #1779

“A Landmark in Miami” focuses on the spatial organization and construction complexity behind Brickell City Centre, a major mixed-use district built in the Brickell neighborhood of Miami. Developed by Swire Properties and constructed by Americaribe (Bouygues Construction), the project functions less like a single building and more like an engineered urban system, integrating retail, offices, residences, and hospitality within one coordinated architectural framework. Documenting a project at this scale reveals how modern landmark development is shaped not only by design intent, but by sequencing, coordination, and the realities of dense downtown construction.

Architecturally, Brickell City Centre is defined by its layered massing and integrated circulation networks, using elevated connections, large-format structural spans, and carefully planned pedestrian routes to stitch the district together. Aerial documentation makes the planning legible, showing how the buildings and open corridors create a new “city within the city,” rather than a closed commercial complex. The combination of aerial perspective and motion graphics emphasizes what is often invisible at street level: how contemporary urban architecture is as much about systems and logistics as it is about façades and forms.
