Mediterranean Modern Luxe is an interior design project in the Tampa Bay Area by Pasquale Design, built around a contemporary interpretation of coastal Florida living. Rather than leaning into traditional Mediterranean detailing, the design adopts modern principles of restraint, clarity, and spatial calm, using clean-lined furnishings and simplified forms to keep the interior architecture visually quiet. This approach allows the home’s relationship to the Florida landscape to become the primary feature, with the interior acting as a controlled viewing environment rather than competing for attention.
Material selection plays a key role in establishing the project’s atmosphere. Lighter wood tones and natural textures soften the modern geometry and create continuity between interior and exterior, aligning the rooms with the surrounding climate and color conditions. The palette remains intentionally balanced, with finishes chosen to support daylight and reflection, reinforcing the idea that the design is organized around views, openness, and the experience of living in a landscape-driven environment. The result is a modern interior that borrows the ease of Mediterranean living while expressing it through contemporary detailing and disciplined material coordination.
